Liz unlocked the door and walked into her flat. In that moment she could sense
something was wrong. Almost without thinking she took out the pistol she had earlier
slipped into her coat more as a talisman than anything stronger. Liz thumbed the safety catch.
If it was Jay and Lucy back for more, then she guessed they would understand, maybe even enjoy,
her brandishing a gun at them. Liz stepped into the lounge, catching sight of herself in the mirror,
a vision in red, truly some fantastical woman: crimson leather clad, her hair like flames,
clutching a shiny pistol. The large man sitting on the sofa,
who had a larger gun in his hand, lolita extreme shocking fucked hard she had been right to be cautious.
"Ah, the famous journalist returns." The man said snidely.
Liz did not know how to reply. She guessed this was some terrorist associate of Beth's rather
than someone from the authorities. He was taller than average, broadly built and with a round face.
He had an air of fitness about him that made Liz guess his size came from working hard; his skin
loli kid pics he was outside in all weathers. He was probably approaching forty. He was frightening not
because of any bluster, but because in his posture and the few words he had spoken,
he had lolita bbs ranchi that to him violence was mundane; something easily done.
"I got your call." Liz tried.
The man's briefly quizzical expression lolita bbs password that that message had been from some other gruff-voiced individual.
"Well, we got yours. Three down in Sheen taken out. Your Security Service friends are good, but not
that good. I'velong suspected you Beth. I didn't see how you could mix with the demons and yet all the
time be happy to stab them in the back; it just didn't work out."
Liz knew now that this man had been sent to kill her. The decision to alert the police to the gun drop
had been he choice, not Beth's, and it was certainly going to be her that paid the consequences.
"You mean Krandal." Liz said.
At the sound of his name Liz's phone system kicked into life as she had expected. It would be dialling his
direct number now, at least it would bring him to take revenge on her killer.
The man laughed. "Krandal Mesper. You pick them! Don't you remember us discussing the list, that time in
Eltham? He was on it. How things come full circle, from lining up to kill him, to being his informant; on first name terms."
Liz tried to think of responses but all of them seemed weak. She knew that from this man's perspective
Krandal was a much a killer as he was himself, probably more so, as he did it in the name of the government rather than 'freedom'.
